Dr Aline Miller has been awarded a Philip Leverhulme Prize, in recognition of her pioneering work on understanding and developing peptide based biomaterials for regenerative medical applications. This prize, awarded by The Leverhulme Trust, recognises the work of outstanding young research scholars of proven achievement and who are continuing to make original and significant contributions with international impact. Aline said ‘This is a fantastic achievement for my research group and is a reflection of their hard work and dedication.’  She plans to use the £70k award to test her newly developed biomaterials for tissue regeneration and drug delivery applications with the aim of taking the next step towards adapting them as personalised medicines.
