Dr Kranthi Maniam receives the ‘Gandhian Young Technological Innovation award’
Dr Kranthi Maniam, a PDRA in Dr Stuart Holmes’s research group, has received the ‘Gandhian Young Technological Innovation award.’

The Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI) has established three national awards for innovative student/faculty projects in engineering, pharmacy, science, and applied technologies.
The Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards are in 3 categories and of the 1800 applications, 43 were shortlisted and 5 were awarded in each category.
Dr Kranthi Maniam won the award for his Ph.D project “Development of Shape Controlled Palladium Structures as Electrocatalysts for Fuel Cell Applications” in the category ‘More from less for Many’.
It was presented by Padmabhushan Dr. R.A.Mashelkar, President Global research alliance and Chairman, NIF at the Rastrapathi Bhavan on 8th March 2015.
