School professor and PhD student feature in Spanish documentary
Professor Adisa Azapagic and PhD student Cristina Perez have been featured in a short documentary made by El Pais, the most popular newspaper in Spain.
The documentary, filmed in December 2015, informs audiences about sustainability and chemical engineering using a conversation between the professor and student as its focus. It promotes these important subjects to the public using language that the layman will find extremely accessible.
We are pleased to see that Manchester, the birthplace of chemical engineering, has been chosen for such an exciting piece of work. Prof Azapagic says:
“This documentary is part of the El Pais’s world-wide project aiming to bring closer different disciplines and professions to young people, which is an excellent idea. I’m pleased that Sustainable Chemical Engineering at Manchester has been selected for this and have had great fun making the documentary.”
You can find the documentary on El Pais’s website. Please note that although the video begins in Spanish it is in English from around the one minute mark.
