The School has research facilities spread across four sites. Our research facilities are internationally leading, enabling world class research and training.
Morton LaboratoryA pilot-industrial-scale plant (the only one of its type and size in a British university). The Morton Laboratory brings together advanced instrumentation and production scale processing equipment. 
Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre (MIB)A state-of-the-art research institute promoting interdisciplinary, challenge-oriented bioscience and biotechnology at the highest international level. 
Photon Science Institute (PSI)Providing a unique interdisciplinary environment for research into and the application of photon science, encompassing all aspects of creating, measuring and using light for science. 
New BuildingLater in 2011 the School will take possession of a new facility combining state-of-the-art labs with a new teaching environment.
