The group's notable successes include:


Davey has been awarded an EPSRC senior fellowship during this period and is an associate editor of the American Chemical Society journal ‘Crystal Growth and Design’

Tiddy was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the British Liquid Crystals Society.

Lue, Masters, Miller and Yuan were recent recipients of a major Marie Curie grant to study the properties of polyelectrolyte solutions.

Grassia was awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship to fund one year’s sabbatical leave in the University of Melbourne, Australia (1.2006 – 1.2007), where he is a visiting Senior Lecturer.

He is also the recent recipient of a substantial EPSRC/Proctor and Gamble grant to study sudsing. He is responsible for co-ordinating this project, which is undertaken by a consortium of Universities.
