The creation of sustainable systems and processes benefits from an integrated approach that combines science, engineering and socioeconomic analysis. The School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science combines research capability for in-line monitoring, analytical measurements, process engineering and modelling from the molecular level to macroscopic dimensions. The information obtained can feed into process flowsheets and sustainability assessment considering the wider socioeconomic context, for example, through life cycle analysis. |
