Our flexible system means you have until January in the Second Year to decide in which area you would like to specialise. This means that you don't need to choose your specialist area until you have had chance to find out more.
The only exceptions to this are the Chemical Engineering with Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with Study in Europe programmes where some specialist subjects are introduced early in the First Year. You can transfer to a different specialism from these courses but cannot transfer onto them once they have commenced.
All courses have professional recognition and have been accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Foundation Year
If you do not have the appropriate subject background for direct entry to first year, or you have not studied the appropriate subjects to the required depth, you might be eligible to undertake a Foundation Year programme to bring you up to the right level for first year entry.
