Primary schools

We regularly provide a range of fun engineering-related activities for primary schools.

Our activities are specifically designed to appeal to KS2 students and are led by our academic staff and PhD students. We use hands-on demonstrations to engage students and encourage them to explore what chemical engineering contributes to science. Some of our most popular demonstrations include non-Newtonian fluids such as Oobleck, using lemons to demonstrate how fuel cells work and how to design a chocolate bar.

We strive to provide access to chemical engineering for all students, so if you have any particular requirements or ideas for activities let our team of experts know.
